The Role
Job Title: Junior Creative/Marketing Assistant
Job Type: Full time with two days off per week. Working on Saturdays is often required as raceday and sale work is an important part of the role and occasional Sunday work may be required.
Location: Sydney / Melbourne Based – Remote
Supervisor/Manager: Managing Director, Vicky Leonard. All tasks will be completed after tuition and under guidance of a senior manager.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, creative all-rounder with a strong interest in the racing industry to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who combines creativity with racing expertise and can contribute across a range of marketing, branding, and digital initiatives. The Creative All-Rounder will play a key role in content creation, design, and campaign development to drive audience engagement and showcase our client’s brands.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
- Assist with client communication and coordination.
- Plan, create, and assist with post racing-related content across social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Stay updated on trends within the racing industry and integrate them into social media campaigns.
- Develop engaging content tailored to the racing community, including graphics, videos, social media posts, and blog articles.
- Design and edit promotional materials (e.g., flyers, posters, digital ads) that resonate with racing enthusiasts.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaign assets that capture the spirit and excitement of racing events.
- Write and post articles for client news including web and blog articles, client newsletters including research and fact-check proofing.
- Attend and assist with local photo shoots/filming and video editing
- Organise and collaborate with freelancers (designers, developers, etc.) and other staff by sending task briefs and checking work
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: In a creative, marketing, or similar role, with experience in or knowledge of the racing industry.
- Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the racing industry, trends, and community, with the ability to connect authentically with racing enthusiasts.
- Creativity & Innovation: Ability to develop unique, engaging content that resonates with the racing community and promotes brand awareness.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey racing knowledge effectively through various media.
- Team Player: Collaborative approach and willingness to work across departments to support marketing goals.
